Air India Express Visa On Arrival

Black or white, that is the question ...

I attended this morning a disaster television as I feel the need to blogger. An understanding of the subject requires that I ask some basics about the "culture" Japanese as I sees it in my new daily reality.

1) First assumption: the television, which are regarded in Japan (my roommate literally passes all his free time to rest when at home), is a real shame. Apart from the principle of dramas that I like, anytime and on any channels you fall on weak amount of emissions on the model talk show, people more or less famous talking about anything and especially anything The tone from the film for good housewife (like "the program is" void of the morning on France 2) to very heavy vulgarity a sudden loud bursts of laughter as natural as noisy. In short, just happiness. I have fallen once or twice, not more, on a show that seemed worthy of interest, documentary style, and yet I did not quite able to analyze because said roommate has changed its direct channel (mmmh, foreign country, war or something like that, boo, not interesting !)...

2) For those who do not know, unlike Europe and elsewhere in many parts of the world, the Japanese value the skin, very white, then at least for girls (as everywhere, standards of beauty are much more for the ladies only these gentlemen). Here, no complex just wandering in mini-shorts with my nonexistent tan of June: I have class. You get used to seeing so many pairs of legs Blanquine at all is that foreign tanned become almost shocking.

3) (note that this is slightly off-topic) The women's fashion at Japan is a fiasco, so much so that I do not think I can describe it, a pile of makeup, accessories, clothing frou frou-giving evil eye and heart. An emblematic element that could perhaps give an idea of the seriousness of the situation: here there is a clothing brand BARBIE ADULT. Okay, end of introduction.

this morning so I take my breakfast with Chieko, before a show at the con that it had previously chosen. Theme of "insert" of this brilliant talk show: the color of the skin. Voiceover: "Today in the trendy districts in Tokyo, we meet also very tanned girls. Black or white, what is the best?" Hmm, it promises. To answer this very relevant and philosophical issue, are chosen two pairs of statues meant to represent both sides of the scale. Four horrible paint cans legged, dressed in a way that we doubt that we can really live in such conditions, false eyelashes and fake hair colors, which do not differ much in fact that the color of their skin.

Step 1: vox pop: we ask young men in the street their preference, should the lucky stick a sticker in the "white" or "UV cramées. With each decision, chuckling satisfaction epic semi-human in the background. Result: White win (no surprise).

Step 2 (and this is where it gets sad): the four are trying (I surrender I realize that lack of appropriate vocabulary to name them), always in pairs, are in a primary school, girls do before a speech to defend their choice of color ... that's where their intellectual abilities are revealed.
Blanchette: "It's more cute, white skin, with western clothes, much nicer for example (she said, pinching between two fingers, for example, a patterned dress style Little House on the Prairie "in much, much shorter of course), and then the boys in the street bin they said they preferred (chuckle, chuckle)".
Cramet: "Uh, it's cool to be tanned ... then y 'boys who nevertheless said they like, uh that's it."
result after such a performance difference, and with all the force of ancestral tradition for them, win blanket. The girls interviewed appear to have been convinced by the "I feel better with Barbie clothes," even if one has bored through the summer with umbrellas and layers of cream tacky index 50.

We therefore reflects the same time there is a slight concern in the education system in Japan. This may be an upcoming episode.
